Safety and Facts from OSHA regarding construction fatalities:

Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees, accounting for 350 of the 937 construction fatalities recorded in 2015 (BLS data). Those deaths were preventable. The National Fall Prevention Safety Stand-Down raises fall hazard awareness across the country in an effort to stop fall fatalities and injuries.

Falls are the leading cause of death in construction and every year falls from ladders make up nearly a third of those deaths. These deaths are preventable. Falls from ladders can be prevented and lives can be saved by following the guidelines set forth by OSHA.
